Toyota Celica 1.8 VVT-i

New Celica was marketed based on one engine. And that is why 1.8 liters by the variable valve measured time for 1.8 vvti models name. The engine produced 140bhp and came in six double speed gearboxes which supplied a front wheel with power.

In December, 2000, the engine of substituted 190bhp was offered in Celica. This unnecessary power used the variable valve and lift cylinder head which only a valve timing did not change into and was provided, but an engine did increase lively, and the height of the valve lift increased. The technical Sounds releases another 50bhp except it from the same capacity engine so that it must be good news. I look same, and it is used by a badge as 1.8vvt-i distinguishing two cars as for the stronger engine model both cars by the outside.

As it was usual in the neiborhood where an individual model and performance were always sporty, there was not the thing of Celica in the some transformation of the saloon car from the Toyota range. Time of 0-60mph of 8.7 seconds and car 7.4 of 190bhp run at full speed by car of 140bhp to 60mph with all efforts by a second and have speed of interval 127mph to have the best speed of 140mph at the maximum.
The fuel consumption number of the official recognition for two cars is 24.6mpg /42.8mpg /33.6mpg for cars touching the engine which is more powerful than 27.4mpg /45.6mpg /36.7mpg for cars of 140bhp.

The 140 bhp engine is very responsive and has good acceleration from low revs right up to the 7000rpm red line. (The 190 bhp engine revs even higher but I haven't driven one.) The gearbox lever is ideally placed and gear changes are smooth and fast. The pedals are light to use and the brakes inspire confidence. Handling is good and the car grips well through corners, the suspension is firm but still seems to deal with most roads surfaces well.

The 140 bhp car sits in insurance group 13 so isn't too horrendous to insure, and the 190 bhp car is in insurance group 15. The only down side to owning a Celica is the space in the rear and the boot space, it is a coupe and if these are of concern to you make sure you check them out before thinking about buying one.
